Who We Are

“Darya” is the Persian word for sea. From the shores of the Mediterranean, Darya Press was launched in 2012 by Lebanese journalist Carole Corm, hoping to bring a fresh and positive eye to publishing in the region.

All our books are printed in Lebanon, a country with a proud history of publishing – in fact, the first printing press in the Middle East was brought to Mount Lebanon by a group of intrepid monks, some 400 years ago.

At Darya Press we believe in making beautiful books you will want to keep. Our titles specialize on the Middle East  (but not exclusively), with a focus on travel guides, architecture, food, design and history.
